This mixed-media portrait celebrates Dwyane Wade's dominant performance in the 2006 NBA Finals, where he led the Miami Heat to their first championship and earned Finals MVP honors. The 16" x 20" piece combines precisely detailed colored pencil work with a flowing watercolor background, where Heat colors were applied to wet paper and manipulated with alcohol droplets to create organic patterns. This technique represents Fall's exploration of more efficient approaches to background creation while maintaining the photorealistic detail in his subject matter.
