This mixed-media portrait captures Carnell "Cadillac" Williams during his breakout period with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, fresh off his 2005 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year campaign. The 16" x 20" piece combines precisely detailed colored pencil work with a flowing watercolor background, where team colors were applied to wet paper and manipulated with alcohol droplets to create organic patterns. This technique represents Fall's exploration of more efficient approaches to background creation while maintaining the photorealistic detail in his subject matter.
